The WestSmartEV@Scale project was a U.S. Department of Energy-funded, multi-state project that aimed to create an enduring regional electric vehicle ecosystem across the West. Its goal was to sustain accelerated growth in freight, business, and consumer use of electric vehicles. Columbia-Willamette Clean Cities coordinated and provided tailored workforce training to assist in implementing the project.
The project had provided coordinated efforts to electrify over 42,000 miles of regional interstate and state highway networks. It had included more than $10 million in cost-share.
