As Clean Cities, we take immense pride in supporting our coalition members' efforts towards sustainable transportation solutions. Today, we are thrilled to spotlight MTRWestern, one of our esteemed members, as they make strides in embracing the electric revolution with their latest milestone - the integration of three brand new DC Fast Charging (DCFC) stations at their Seattle facility!
The heart of this remarkable project is the Van Hool CX45E, a state-of-the-art, 100% emissions-free electric vehicle. Powered by a robust Proterra battery system, the CX45E embodies reliability and sustainability. With a seating capacity for up to 56 passengers and a range of up to 186 miles, this 45-foot electric bus is ideal for both commercial and private group travel.
The recent installation of three Level 3 DC Fast Charging stations at their Seattle facility is a testament to MTRWestern's commitment to embrace electric mobility. With a charging capacity of 150kW, these fast charge stations can boost an electric bus from 10% to 80% charge in just 3.5 hours, significantly reducing downtime
and providing efficient and eco-friendly
transportation solutions.
Columbia Willamette and Western Washington Clean Cities celebrate the vision and dedication to sustainable transportation, aligning perfectly with our mission.
