Insights from the 2024 Clean Cities and Communities Annual Meeting

The Clean Cities and Communities Annual Meeting is a key event hosted by the U.S. Department of Energy, bringing together coordinators from Clean Cities coalitions, government officials, industry stakeholders, and partners. This gathering serves as a platform for discussing strategies, sharing best practices, and collaborating on initiatives aimed at reducing petroleum use in transportation.

The 2024 Clean Cities and Communities (CC&C) Training Workshop, held from September 10–12 at the InterContinental Saint Paul Riverfront in Minnesota, was a unique opportunity for coalition directors, co-directors, and staff to come together for hands-on training.

This year, two members of our team had the opportunity to attend, and the experience was eye-opening, showcasing the vast resources and support within the Clean Cities and Communities network.

Our team member, Grace, reflected on the experience of the event, stating, "it was wonderful to meet and chat with so many other Clean Cities and Communities staff face-to-face after collaborating with them on various projects throughout the past year. I gained a lot of valuable knowledge and had the opportunity to share insights about the nationwide EMPOWER project that CWCC leads, while also learning about the fantastic work coalitions are doing across the country."

Thanks to the strong value of being part of the Clean Cities and Communities network, our team gained critical insights into the latest developments in alternative fuels, engagement tools, and how to better serve our Coalition stakeholders.
