Columbia-Willamette Clean Cities (CWCC) and Western Washington Clean Cities (WWCC), in collaboration with Love’s Travel Stops & Country Stores (Love’s), are thrilled to announce their successful bid for funding through the Zero Emission Vehicle Infrastructure Program (ZEVIP) Grant from the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT).
CWCC and Love’s will be installing four Buy America-compliant DC fast chargers at Love’s Store #514 in Ritzville, WA, along the I-90/SR-261 corridor. Simultaneously, WWCC and Love’s will be implementing a similar project at Love’s Store #448 in Tacoma, WA, along the SR-509 corridor. Each site will feature four 160 kW ports, providing essential infrastructure for electric vehicle (EV) drivers in these regions.
This initiative marks a significant milestone in promoting sustainable transportation and reducing greenhouse gas emissions in Washington State.
Both Clean Cities coalitions are dedicated to advancing EV infrastructure and fostering partnerships that drive us towards a cleaner, greener future.
In total, CWCC and WWCC secured nearly $1.43MM to fill charging gaps along key corridors in Washington State.
