About Us: Board of Directors
The Board of Directors consists of up to ten individuals, including but not limited to, representation from such organizations as private fleets, transit, utilities, local government, alternative fuel suppliers, off-road equipment, trucking/automobile manufacturers, trucking associations, clean air agency organizations, and other organizations interested in alternative fuel issues.

The current Board of Directors has eight members, including TriMet, Northwest Biofuels Association, NW Natural, FMI Truck Sales & Service, Oregon Environmental Council, City of Portland Office of Sustainable Development, Oregon Automobile Dealers Association, and Oregon Department of Energy. The Board members from these organizations represent a breadth of perspective toward advocating the mission of CWCCC.
Biographies
Jennifer Porter, President
Jennifer Porter has worked at the City of Portland Office of Sustainable Development for more than 5 years on a variety of programs that have evolved over time. Currently, she is coordinating Portland's transition from curbside yellow recycling bins to roll carts which will take effect Spring/Summer 2008. She has also worked toward a sustainable fleet and reducing diesel emissions in collection vehicles. In her work for CWCCC, Jennifer seeks to advance the important mission of CWCCC and link private industry with public sector resources. Jennifer also serves on the Board of Directors for the Association of Oregon Recyclers and the Hollywood Farmers' Market.

Rick Wallace, Coordinator
Rick Wallace is a policy analyst at the Oregon Department of Energy in the Renewable Energy division, working specifically on transportation and alternative fuel projects. Previously he worked with a contractor to the US DOE & EPA EnergyStar program and was the project manager for the San Diego Gas & Electric In-Store Demonstration and the Residential EnergyStar Windows programs. Rick has accumulated eight years experience developing, marketing and administrating conservation and renewable fuel programs. Prior to this, Rick worked 14 years in the aerospace defense industry as an engineer.

Greg Remensperger, Vice President

Douglas Dunford, Treasurer
Douglas Dunford retired from Northwest Natural Gas Company after forty years service in the Engineering ,Gas Supply and Market Service departments. He was the driving force in getting the Clean Cities program started in the Portland area. Doug's expertise lies in the areas of utility conservation programs and the development for alternative fuel vehicle programs. He directed and developed the CNG (compressed natural gas) and LNG (liquefied natural gas) programs for NNG, which included the first fleet in the world of dedicated LNG buses. Many fleets in the area are now operating on CNG, including the state of Oregon fleet and the city of Salem buses. He served as the chairman of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) code committee for the development of the hydrogen fueled vehicles and refueling stations. Doug also served on the board of directors of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE).

John Galloway, Secretary
John joined the Oregon Environmental Council in January 2008 and directs OEC's work to build a sustainable economy in Oregon. John worked for the Union of Concerned Scientists and in state government to make clean, renewable energy a larger and more central part of California's electricity mix. He has a M.S. from the University of California at Berkeley in Energy and Resources, and a Bachelors in Electrical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology with an emphasis on Power Systems Engineering. He enjoys being outdoors, playing percussion and bass guitar, learning Celtic harp, working with intentional communities, teaching bodywork classes, and exploring the undiscovered corners of Portland.

Anton A. "Tony" Bryant
Anton A. "Tony" Bryant is the TriMet's Director of Bus Maintenance, a position he has held since 1996. Hired by TriMet in 1973, he has held a number of positions within the Bus Maintenance Department. In his current position, Tony is responsible for the management of TriMet's 600+ fleet of transit buses, approximately 235 non-revenue vehicles, and 350 employees including oversight of training, analysis, and inventory management. He is active in TriMet's effort to increase sustainability through increased fuel economy and by piloting a number of innovative technologies for mass transit buses.

Don Emerson
Don Emerson founded Fleet Maintenance Incorporated (DBA FMI Truck Sales & Service) in 1985. Started as a general Truck Repair Shop, FMI has grown into a full truck dealership representing 3 lines including Isuzu, Hino, and UD Nissan Diesel. Don has been very active in alternative fuels since the late 1990s. FMI has operated its rental and parts delivery vehicles on B20 for the past 7 years. In addition, FMI also converts Isuzu units from diesel to full electric drive for airport support vehicles. Don was born and raised in Fargo, North Dakota and moved to the Portland area in 1978. Don and his wife Sandee have been married for more than 25 years and have two children, Shane and Sarah, and two grandsons, Lukas and Taylor.

Nikola Davidson
Nikola Davidson is Program Director for the Northwest Biofuels Association. Nikola is a member of the Oregon and Washington Biofuel Advisory Committees and also serves on the Northwest Biodiesel Network's Board. She founded one of the largest biodiesel co-ops in Washington and co-organizes the annual Northwest Biodiesel Forum. Nikola received her Bachelor of Science from Cornell University.



Sharon Banks, Liaison/Non-voting
Sharon Banks is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Cascade Sierra Solutions (CSS). The mission of CSS is to upgrade the legacy fleet of tractor-trailer trucks with fuel saving and emissions reducing technologies. She works in partnership with a variety of governments, schools, and private enterprise stakeholders to improve air quality and sustainability on the I-5 corridor. Her passion is designing programs using collaborative processes and market-based approaches. Sharon spent 16 years in governmental finance at the Lane Regional Air Protection Agency. Her educational background is in business and transportation logistics. She is a team member of the West Coast Diesel Collaborative, a member of the Oregon Environmental Council, on the board of Clean Air Northwest; an affiliate member of EPA's SmartWay Transport, and serves in the Oregon Army National Guard.
